She fought!

She fought

To take birth

No one smiled

When she arrived

Some even said, let her die

Decades went by

In getting her the right to be born

Centuries went by

Getting people happy and not mourn

She really fought strong

She fought again

To study

Equally

As her brother or any other boy did

She fought harder

To study further

And break the shackles

To follow her dreams

And reach the heights

But the fight was not over

She fought more all over

To work, be independent

Earn for herself ,

Still fighting to earn equally as men

The list wouldn’t end

For all she needs to fight for

But after all this

The society is not able to give her a basic right

The basic human right to safety,

Even for that she needs to be prepared to fight,

Needs to be aware always

With a stick, a gps tracker or a pepper spray

That any coward cruel rapist can come her way

She is stared at and groped,

Flashed and molested in many ways,

No one could ever imagine the wrath,

She faces every moment every day.

To everyone,

She is a human,

As equal as any boy or man,

She is not a prey

And men are not animals,

She deserves all the rights,

She shouldn’t need to fight,

For safety, respect and independence,

To do everything, and achieve anything,

That her other co humans men can,

Without a second thought that she cannot,

Because she is a woman .
